MESSAGE FROM BEVERLEY
30h January 2010
Thank you all AGAIN for your wonderfully kind words. I'm soooo looking forward to touring this Spring. BTW Mol didn't pass her driving test, Steve. She failed on 'Lanes' apparently, but going for a re-take next month. Other news...I've just hooked up with a journalist who'll be helping me knock my autobiography into shape... and I'm editing the live DVD sometime next week. Also my sax player, Simon (who seems to be a BIG hit with the ladies...) is helping my with a songbook for the new album. Phew!! I think I need a lie down!

XMAS MESSAGE FROM BEVERLEY
18th December 2009
Hi. Just wanted to say that I've read ALL the entries in my guestbook and I feel very honoured and flattered and touched (and grateful!) that so many of you have taken the time to write such very kind messages. Playing live has been a blast and I'm REALLY looking forward to the next few dates in the Spring, as are my band. It's been fantastic 'therapy' for me (anything to get away from mopping the kitchen floor!!) and knowing that I've 'connected' with my audiences has given me a huge boost to write new songs! Thank you too for all the personal letters by post...I love that you share your stories with me - what a privilege! Love to you all. Take care and have a very happy Christmas. Bev X

MESSAGE FROM BEV
16th November 2009
I sang Promise Me at the 'Wild & Live' charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall last night. It was organised to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Born Free Foundation and to raise money to save endangered species throughout the world. It's a fantastic charity - well worth a look at their website www.bornfree.org.uk
Loads of other celebs were involved...Rolf Harris, Virginia McKenna, Martin Clunes, Peter Andre, Mutya Buena (from Sugababes) Joanna Lumley, Bryan Adams, Gabriella Climi (she sang that song Sweet About Me) and Rula Lenska, to name but a few. And everyone was really lovely. Peter Andre and Mutya both very kindly autographed a couple of programmes for my two youngest daughters, which they loved!
Martin Clunes hosted the show (he's a nice bloke too) and there was a fab house band (although I chose to sing my song with just a piano...yikes!) I was pretty nervous to begin with... but had settled into the song by the end of the first chorus. It's quite strange having to hang around backstage for six-and-a-half hours and then go on and do your bit for just three-and-a-half minutes!
Before the show all the performers had to do the red carpet thing, in a howling gale, with all the photographers yelling and trying to get us to look in their direction (there's a funny ol' shot of me with my face covered in hair somewhere on the net!).
Aynyway, it was a good show with a great audience. I hope they raised, and will continue to raise, loads of money. Cruelty to animals is one of my pet hates - no pun intended (you might like to know that I even left a bit of a custard cream behind the radiator for the mouse in my dressing room!)
Looking forward to Stafford and Leicester!
Bev X
